Medallion is Found
The State Bank Dozinky Medallion was found the morning of Thursday, September 3rd. Gary and Marita Kaminsky found the medallion at the outdoor ice arena. They heard about the Hunt on KCHK and zeroed in on the medallion with the second clue that included “sooner or later everything will be frozen.” State Bank of New Prague introduced the Medallion Hunt and offered $300 to the finder. Congratulations to the Kaminskys and thanks to everyone who participated! State Bank is overwhelmed with your positive feedback, and the planning for next year's Hunt is underway!
President Bruce Wolf presents the Kaminskys with their $300 prize.

2015 State Bank Dozinky Medallion Hunt
The 2015 State Bank Dozinky Medallion Hunt is new to the festival’s roster this year! The hunt is a Dozinky event brought to you by State Bank of New Prague. The first clue, along with the rules and guidelines, will be published in the August 27th edition of the New Prague Times. Subsequent, weekly clues will be available on the Chamber of Commerce and State Bank websites. In addition, the clues will be announced on KCHK, on the outdoor marquis at the Bank, and available for pick up at the Bank and Chamber. Each new clue will be posted online and available for pick up on Thursdays by 9am. The grand prize for the person who discovers the medallion is $300. If the medallion is not brought to the State Bank of New Prague by noon on September 19th, the grand prize will double for next year’s hunt!
“We are thrilled about this new addition to our community’s festival! We plan to make this medallion hunt an annual event and we hope to have a lot of participation,” said State Bank President, Bruce Wolf.
“State Bank wanted to bring something new and exciting to Dozinky – something the New Prague community will enjoy and rave about. And what an excellent way to get out and enjoy more of our parks and trails in the area,” stated State Bank Assistant Vice President, Amy Fischer.
Wolf and Fischer’s efforts, along with the assistance of the Chamber Board of Directors and State Bank staff, have made the medallion hunt a reality.
Another new item this year is the Dozinky logo. You can see it pictured on the medallion below – taking place of the “o” in “Dozinky.” The artwork is found in Czech folk art and the color adds to its design. This logo represents the Dozinky festival and the strong, Czech heritage found in the New Prague community. An exact replica of the medallion will be located at the Bank for everyone to see. Pictures of the medallion will also be placed on the Bank’s website and on the Chamber’s social media pages.

Escaping the Minnesota Winter?
Planning travel abroad?
You may have read in some of the local newspapers about the increase in reports of credit, debit, and ATM card fraud. Fraudulent activity appears to be increasing in certain areas and with certain merchants. As part of our fraud prevention procedures, we may place “blocks” on particular merchants, businesses, or countries to limit the exposure to this type of activity. Currently we placed a block on all transactions originating from Mexico because of a recent influx of fraudulent transactions. Debit and ATM cards will not work in Mexico unless you notify us of travel to Mexico. Please call Katie Svoboda, Amy Fischer, Heather Gilhousen or Barb Nyreen to have a travel alert put on your card for your travel dates in Mexico.
It’s a good idea to contact our customer service representatives whenever you leave Minnesota. They will be happy to put a travel alert on your debit card for you!
We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

Mittens for Many

State Bank sponsors “Mittens for Many”
Benefits Adopt-A-Family Program
The State Bank of New Prague is asking you to participate in its 14th annual “Mittens for Many” program. The campaign begins Monday, Nov. 19 and will continue through Thursday, Dec. 6. It is coordinated with the Adopt-A-Family program in New Prague.
In 2011, the number of families that were served by the Adopt-A-Family program topped out at 385 families, including 879 children! Unfortunately, the need continues to grow. Because of the continued growth, the Adopt-a-Family program joined forces with the LeSueur County Santa Anonymous and can provide for the needs of all who come to them for help.
Adopt a Family will continue to provide shopping lists for clothing and outerwear gifts. The bank is also collecting toys, games, and other gifts for children ages 0-16. These gifts will be distributed through the Santa Anonymous program, where parents will make selections for their own children.
Items for the “Mittens for Many” program can be brought to the bank during regular business hours, Mondays through Fridays, 9 am to 4:30pm and through Saturdays, 9 am to noon. For more information, call the State Bank of New Prague at 952-758-4491 or email bank staff at: email@example.com.

Savers Express Summer Party
August 31, 2012
Summer Library Party
State Bank’s Savers Express Saving Club sponsored the New Prague Library’s Summer Reading Program End of Season Party in August. Four brave gentlemen, Mayor Chuck Nickolay, Police Chief Mark Vosejpka, Falcon Ridge Elementary Principal Dave Giesen, and Gymnastics Coach Doug Amundsen, volunteered to man the dunk tank. Several children, in the bank after the party at the library, were so excited that they were able to dunk their principal! The four men were very much in support of the summer reading program that is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Our Savers Express Saving Club members were treated to a pizza lunch before the Library Party. We transported our popcorn wagon to the library for free popcorn during the party. Besides the dunk tank, children enrolled in the reading program were able to slide down a giant blow-up slide and slather themselves with tattoos.
